We had quite a scare last week. Our little house rabbit, Balti, was not well which led to an emergency visit to the vet.
His lab work and exam were inconclusive but after a week of intensive therapy here at home he appears to have come around. He is now 90% back to his normal routine. He is shown here sprawled out next to his food bowl. Our animal family is quite important to Nilda and I, they are like our children. While they do take up a great deal of time and limit our ability to travel, the joy and happiness they bring us is tremendous. It is such a relief to see them enjoying themselves and playing as a distraction for us from the worlds problems around us. We gladly sacrifice some travel freedom for the joy of living our special happy life in our own little corner of the world. Another plus of this life that we enjoy is that we localize our lives and reduce our carbon footprint by our lessened travel. This also helps us move towards being prepared for the hard times ahead when the economy craters. We will be ready and we will be happy !!
